LeoLabs, Inc., a commercial provider of low Earth orbit mapping and Space Situational Awareness (SSA) services, secured a $13 million Series A financing round led by global investors WERU Investment and Airbus Ventures. Other investors participating in the round include Space Angels and Horizons Ventures.

Founded in 2016 as a venture-funded spinout of SRI International, LeoLabs’ core technology includes a patent-pending global phased-array radar network which tracks debris and satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Observations generated from this network inform the LeoLabs platform with timely and accurate orbital and situational data.

LeoLabs plans to use the funding to expand its network of next-generation radars for tracking small debris and satellites in LEO, and accelerate development of its LEO mapping and SSA platform.
